🚨 Now Hiring: Corporate Controller | Manufacturing | Chicago, IL

We’re partnering with a well-established industrial equipment manufacturing company that’s on the move. With operations across multiple sites and a reputation for delivering high-quality industrial products, this organization is investing in its future and that includes building out a stronger, more scalable finance function. They’re looking for a Corporate Controller to take ownership of all financial operations and reporting across the company. This isn’t just about closing the books, this is a strategic, hands-on leadership role where you’ll bring clarity to complexity, drive operational alignment, and ensure the finance team is a true partner to the business.


💼 What You’ll Do:

  • Lead accounting operations including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, and fixed assets
  • Own all financial reporting and compliance under GAAP
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash management reporting
  • Partner closely with operations and plant leadership to improve cost visibility and margin performance
  • Build, mentor, and lead a growing accounting team
  • Implement stronger internal controls, streamline month-end close, and optimize ERP use
  • Analyze financial and production data to support smarter, faster decision-making
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance matters


🔧 What They’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years in accounting/finance with at least 5 in a senior leadership role
  • Manufacturing experience is a must with multi-site exposure is a big plus
  • Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance
  • CPA preferred, bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and scale high-performing finance teams
  • Comfortable working both strategically and tactically as this is a roll-up-your-sleeves environment
  • ERP experience (SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
