Hours: 7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm shift

Compensation: 45 – 55K

White Ash Group has been engaged by a fully licensed Cannabis cultivation, processing, and consumer packaged goods company to recruit a Formulation & Filling Technician.

Reporting to the Formulation & Filling Supervisor, the Formulation & Filling Technician will support the formulation operations by assisting in the preparation and filling processes by turning cannabis biomass into high quality cannabis products for inhalation.

The Technician will help prepare daily product batches, weigh raw materials, mix and blend, monitor process stability, keep records of formulation results, and perform daily laboratory maintenance, including cleaning and sanitizing the formulation area. The role requires knowledge of basic lab techniques.

Responsibilities:

·     Carry out all assigned duties including but not limited to extraction, processing, formulation, and filling in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to regulations, cGMPs, OHSA regulations, company SOPs, and lab procedures.

·     Operate, clean, and maintain lab equipment, performing corrective and preventative maintenance as needed.

·     Manage inventory of raw materials, finished products, and by-products.

·     Ensure compliance with product tracking, security, and movement procedures.

·     Prevent mixing of dissimilar components by following Consumer Goods Manufacturing Practices.

·     Conduct quality assurance sampling, testing, and inspections to meet company specifications, including:

-      Recording and monitoring process conditions

-      Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking

-      Executing tests on analytical equipment

-      Working with 3rd party labs for sampling and reporting

·     Strive to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

·     Support new product and process development with the Process/Product Development team.

·     Perform other tasks as needed by management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·     Minimum high school diploma

·     1+ years of experience in laboratory, production/manufacturing, or pharmaceutical settings (preferred).

·     Experience with vape formulations and filling (preferred).

·     Cannabis industry formulation experience (preferred).

·     Attention to detail and commitment to safety with process equipment.

·     Positive attitude and strong communication skills.

·     Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.

·     Initiative, ownership of work, and willingness to learn.

·     Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

·     Physical requirements: standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds alone, and 51+ pounds with assistance, carrying totes, pushing carts, and adjusting process equipment.

·     Ability to wear PPE specific to the cannabis production industry.

·     Must be 19 years or older (legal requirement for cannabis production).

·     Clear criminal record check required (RPIC status not required but an asset).
