SUMMARY:
Reporting to our Director of Maintenance and Security, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our growing Maintenance team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, follow, and maintain maintenance-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform preventative maintenance such as testing and troubleshooting on various equipment and machines, including but not limited to:
- Air handling units (AHUs) and HVAC systems
- Production racking and grow lights
- Plumbing and irrigation systems
- Facility safety equipment (eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, etc.)
- Recognize maintenance and repair needs, documenting findings and escalating as needed.
- Adhere to and promote company safety procedures, policies, and Good Production Practices (GPP/GMP).
- Conduct daily facility walkarounds to identify deficiencies; address issues directly or escalate to management.
- Perform routine tasks such as:
- Changing HVAC filters
- Basic plumbing repairs (unclogging drains, fixing leaks)
- Replacing light bulbs/fixtures
- Maintaining clean and safe workspaces
- Respond promptly to maintenance-related work orders and emergency requests.
- Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and service documentation.
- Safely operate tools, ladders, and light machinery required for maintenance tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and notify the department manager when replenishment is needed.
- Perform other facility-related tasks as deemed necessary by the Director of Maintenance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and follow-up is required
- Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and professionalism
- Possess knowledge of health and safety practices
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
