SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Post Harvest Manager to lead post-harvest operations within a large-scale medicinal cannabis facility producing in excess of 40 tonnes of premium flower per year. This role is central to ensuring pharmaceutical-grade quality standards while managing complex, high-throughput workflows across drying, trimming, curing, and packaging at commercial scale.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience from high-throughput, pharmaceutical-grade environments, with proven expertise managing large-scale drying, trimming, curing, and packaging workflows.

This role requires specific familiarity with the T-Zero automated trimmer/twister (or similar high-capacity automated trimming systems), along with the ability to optimise throughput without compromising product quality. The Post Harvest Manager will lead a team, manage daily operations, maintain GMP/GACP standards, and collaborate closely with upstream cultivation and downstream quality and export teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all post-harvest activities including drying, trimming, curing, milling, packaging, and storage
  • Lead, train, and manage the Post Harvest team to ensure consistent high performance
  • Operate, maintain, and optimise the T-Zero automated trimmer/twister (or equivalent automated trimming systems)
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for post-harvest processes in alignment with GMP/GACP and pharmaceutical-grade standards
  • Maintain strict quality control to preserve cannabinoid and terpene profiles while minimising product loss
  • Ensure batch documentation, traceability, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards
  • Manage throughput planning, daily scheduling, labour allocation, and workflow optimisation
  • Work closely with Cultivation, Quality Assurance, and Export/Logistics teams to ensure seamless production and shipment readiness
  • Oversee environmental controls and ensure proper drying and curing conditions
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance
  • Track KPIs including throughput, yield retention, loss ratios, and processing time
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency without compromising product quality
  • Support audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and product release activities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-harvest management experience in cannabis, pharmaceuticals, food processing, or other GMP/GACP-regulated industries
  • Direct experience operating and optimising the T-Zero automated trimmer/twister (or similar high-capacity automated trimmers)
  • Strong understanding of drying, curing, trimming, and packaging best practices
  • Experience managing high-throughput production environments
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in structured, quality-controlled operations
  • Familiarity with GMP, GACP, ISO, or pharmaceutical-grade quality systems
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and report data for performance tracking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment
