We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Canadian consumer packaged goods company in the cannabis products market, headquartered in Toronto, Canada. About the role
We are currently recruiting a Manager of B2B Sales ready to take the next step in their career and join our Regulatory Affairs & Planning team. This role will be reporting to the Senior Vice President, Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth across domestic and international markets, in B2B. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations and regulatory compliance.
Sales & Business Development:
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets in both domestic and international markets.
· Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients across the global cannabis industry.
· Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
· Maintain detailed knowledge of product offerings, market trends, and regulatory environments to inform sales strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
· Develop tailored account plans to maximize client value and strengthen partnerships.
· Proactively identify client needs and coordinate internal resources to address them.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Work closely with Supply Chain, Inventory, and Quality teams to align product availability with market demands.
· Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to manage contracts, pricing strategies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver consistent client communication and ensure seamless execution of business agreements.
Reporting & Analysis:
· Track and report on sales performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
· Provide regular updates to senior management on key accounts, sales progress, and market developments.
· Utilize internal tools to maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
Must Haves:
· Minimum 5 ( five ) years’ B2B sales experience, ideally within the medical cannabis, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries.
· Bachelor degree in Business, Sales or related field; MBA preferred.
· Proven track record of revenue growth and managing client relationships in both domestic and international markets.
· Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and regulatory requirements.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry environment.
· Diligent and extremely detail oriented.
· Sage MRP experience a strong asset.
· SalesForce experience a strong asset.
· Strong financial literacy and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication skills required; fluent English.
· MS Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Excellent interpersonal skills, mentoring, listening, decision-making abilities.
