Summary

 

A leading indoor craft cannabis cultivation facility is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Grower to lead its cultivation operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of cultivation, from cloning to post-harvest. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial cannabis grows with a focus on craft quality and compliance with EU-GMP standards. This is an opportunity to take full ownership of the cultivation department, driving excellence in product quality while fostering the growth of a young and energetic team.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage all aspects of indoor cultivation operations, ensuring consistent delivery of premium-quality cannabis products.
  • Develop and implement cultivation strategies to optimize yield, quality, and efficiency.
  • Build, manage, and train a high-performing cultivation team, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including adherence to EU-GMP practices.
  • Oversee the entire cultivation lifecycle, including cloning, flowering, harvesting, and post-harvest processing.
  • Manage ERP systems related to cultivation, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor and control environmental conditions, including lighting, temperature, humidity, and nutrient delivery systems, to ensure optimal plant growth.
  • Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to prevent and address pest and disease issues effectively.
  • Maintain detailed cultivation records for all grow cycles, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular crop performance analysis, including yield and quality metrics, and adjust strategies as necessary for continuous improvement.
  • Research and incorporate new cultivation techniques, technologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Oversee inventory management of all cultivation supplies, including nutrients, grow mediums, and equipment, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all cultivation activities, ensuring consistency and compliance.

 

Experience / Education

 

  • Must: Proven experience managing large-scale indoor cannabis cultivation operations (greenhouse experience will not suffice).
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a young team.
  • Hands-on experience with all aspects of the cultivation process, including post-harvest activities.
  • Familiarity with EU-GMP standards and regulatory compliance in the cannabis industry.
  • Technical proficiency with ERP systems and their integration into cultivation workflows.
  • Ability to take ownership of the cultivation department, drive results, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
