Our client is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company building a legislative intelligence platform used by government affairs professionals to track bills, monitor hearings, and stay ahead of policy changes across U.S. state legislatures.
The product is trusted by over 100 organizations spanning public-sector entities, trade associations, and corporate government relations teams, and has grown revenue 3x in the past six months. With clear product-market fit, a fully capitalized balance sheet, and a long runway secured, the company is now focused on scaling its data infrastructure and evolving the platform toward more automated, AI-powered workflows.

The Role
As Product Designer, you will own end to end product design from user research through engineering ready specifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct user research and customer conversations to understand workflows, motivations, pain points, and validate assumptions.
- Translate complex legislative processes into clear product opportunities and intuitive solutions.
- Develop multiple solution paths for ambiguous problems, articulating tradeoffs and designing scalable workflows.
- Produce detailed, implementation ready specifications for engineering teams, including edge cases and system logic.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to ensure design feasibility, alignment, and execution fidelity.
- Deliver clean, professional UI with attention to clarity, usability, and consistency, contributing to scalable design patterns and systems.
- Own the design function: create processes, structure, and workflows to move quickly, prioritize impact, and lay the foundation for future growth.
Is This You?
- 4+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B or early stage startups.
- Proven experience owning end to end product design in ambiguous environments.
- Strong UX capability—able to translate complex, multistep workflows into intuitive, scalable solutions.
- Comfortable taking loosely defined problems and developing multiple well reasoned solution paths.
- Experience producing detailed specs that engineers can build from.
- Deeply user-centric, with a habit of validating directly with customers.
- Systems thinker who designs with long-term coherence in mind.
- Strong portfolio with clear case studies explaining impact, reasoning, and craft.
- High agency and ownership—able to build structure where none exists.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Austin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in legislative, policy, or adjacent industries is helpful but not required.
Base Salary: $120,000–$135,000, depending on experience
