Title: VP of Sales

Location: Remote (travel 20-30%)

  • Strategic visibility: Reporting directly to the founder/COO, you’ll collaborate with the Executive Team to shape company-wide initiatives across Product, Operations, and Finance.
  • Blend of strategy and action: This isn’t just a leadership role—you’ll also roll up your sleeves to personally close major government and enterprise deals while coaching a high-performing team to exceed revenue targets.


Responsibilities

As the VP of Sales, you will own the development and execution of the sales strategy while growing and managing a high-performing team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies across all verticals, with an initial focus on municipal and government growth. Build business plans to shorten sales cycles and reduce customer acquisition costs.
  • Team Leadership: Build, coach, and lead a top-tier sales team that consistently meets or exceeds revenue targets. Foster a high-performance, customer-first culture.
  • Strategic Selling: Roll up your sleeves to develop opportunities and close key enterprise and government deals. Lead complex contract negotiations and navigate public procurement processes.
  • Data-Driven Forecasting: Ensure CRM data integrity, oversee regular forecasting, and provide transparent reporting to inform production planning and inventory management.
  • Voice of the Customer: Share insights on industry trends, competitive intelligence, and product feedback to drive innovation and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Operations, Product, and Finance to align sales execution with company goals and ensure customer success.


Is This You?

  • Proven track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams to exceed revenue targets
  • Extensive experience in B2G (business-to-government) sales; enterprise sales experience is a plus
  • Expertise in recurring-revenue models and account management strategies
  • Proven ability with CRM and data management, with a focus on driving team compliance, data integrity, and leadership reporting
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the drive to grow and lead a sales organization in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Highly disciplined, professional, and self-aware leader with a passion for building teams and scaling mission-driven businesses
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30% of the time


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
