Title: Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Location: New York City (Union Square) In-person, 6 days/week

Monk is building a Multi-Agent Revenue OS for modern finance teams.

They are an early-stage startup building AI-native software to help companies better understand, manage, and accelerate revenue through automation, integrations, and intelligent workflows.

Monk is still in the earliest chapter of the company, but they have already built meaningful momentum. They have a live product, paying customers, and early enterprise demand, and they are now hiring a small number of exceptional engineers to help shape both the product and the company from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product features across the full stack
• Own major pieces of the product and technical architecture from day one
• Design and implement customer-facing workflows and integrations
• Rapidly prototype, test, and deploy AI-native product experiences
• Work closely with the founding team to translate customer needs into product decisions
• Help define engineering standards, technical direction, and internal development practices
• Contribute to a fast-moving, highly collaborative in-person engineering environment

Is this you?

You may be a strong fit for this role if you are either:

An experienced full-stack engineer

• 4+ years of experience building production software
• Strong full-stack experience, ideally in TypeScript / JavaScript environments
• Experience working at a fast-growing startup or technically rigorous product company
• Comfortable owning projects from 0 to 1
• Excited by speed, ambiguity, and a high-accountability environment

Or a more junior engineer with exceptional slope

• Around 1+ year of production engineering experience
• Strong early evidence of technical ability, initiative, or obsession
• Experience building in TypeScript / JavaScript
• Someone who has already built meaningful things outside of school or work
• Highly motivated, fast-learning, and eager to earn trust quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with:
• TypeScript
• Next.js
• Full-stack web application development
• Experience at a venture-backed startup or other high-velocity product environment
• Experience building customer-facing software from 0 to 1
• Prior experience as a:
• Founding Engineer
• Early startup engineer
• Founder or technical co-founder
• Experience in fintech, accounting, revenue tooling, or related workflow-heavy domains is a plus
• Familiarity with modern AI tooling, LLM workflows, or applied product experimentation is a plus
