The Role

We’re looking for a Recruiter who not only thrives in closing roles end-to-end but also brings a strong sense of ownership, thought leadership, and relationship-building to the table.


This is a high-impact role where you’ll own multiple searches at once while also helping elevate the HigherPeople brand through storytelling and building deep connections with the startup and VC ecosystem. 


Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, presenting candidates, and closing offers across technical and non-technical roles
  • Build close relationships with hiring managers and act as a strategic hiring partner
  • Prioritize urgency and quality while managing multiple roles in a fast-paced environment
  • Consistently provide a top-tier candidate experience and champion DEI best practices
  • Track pipeline activity and progress in Loxo (our ATS) and contribute to reporting/metrics
  • Support the growth of the HigherPeople brand by attending events, engaging with founders, and contributing content or insight where helpful
  • Identify and explore new partnership opportunities, occasionally taking on high-level biz dev initiatives while staying rooted in exceptional recruiting delivery


What You Bring

  • 3+ years of full-cycle agency recruiting experience, ideally with exposure to early-stage startups focused on GTM and/or technical roles 
  • Strong sourcing chops and an eye for spotting potential beyond the resume
  • Proven ability to manage multiple roles and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Comfort working autonomously, juggling priorities, and using tools like Loxo/Ashby, Slack, and Google Drive
  • A genuine interest in the startup world and an understanding of how hiring shapes company trajectories
  • Bonus: Experience or network in the Bay Area VC/startup ecosystem
