About Fancysauce

Grab an apron — We're Fancysauce. We've all noticed the rapid changes going on with LLMs and AI in the workforce. In addition to the excitement, what also comes with this hypergrowth is surprise AI bills that companies aren't able to manage.

Enter Fancysauce: Agentic recipes for AI Cost Management. Acting as your AI-native load balancer, Fancysauce provides the exact "recipes" to optimize your AI stack across three courses: (1) surfacing the best tools for your team, (2) maximizing AI usage + ROI, and (3) dynamically routing model usage, unused licences, and other resources so teams can accelerate AI outcomes without surprise, company-compounding AI bills.

Our founding team is made up of Harvard grads and Apple alumni who previously built an AI-enabled workflow intelligence and integration platform, Retain.ai (raised $30M, acquired). We’re backed by tier A investors including Afore Capital (#2 rank Business Insider) and angels from Gemini, OpenAI, Baseten and more. CEO has scaled revenue $0-$100M+ with 4 exits.

About This Role

We are seeking our first AI Native GTM Engineer to architect, automate, and scale the systems that power the Fancysauce revenue engine. We’re looking for a highly technical builder (likely a former engineer or self-taught) who loves to close deals and thrives at the intersection of code and commerce.

You will work directly with our founding team to build the outbound engine from scratch, integrating modern tech, engineering complex data flows, and deploying intelligent AI agents across the full GTM motion. Your recipe for success is simple: build the systems that generate qualified pipeline and drive measurable revenue outcomes. If you’re ready to treat go-to-market with the same engineering rigor we apply to our product, you’re in the right place.

What You'll Do:

  • Build the Pipeline Machine: Design and ship nurture sequences that keep prospects warm and move them through the funnel – not generic drip campaigns, but smart, signal-driven workflows.
  • Automate the Busywork: Identify repetitive work across the GTM org – account research, CRM hygiene, post-call follow-ups – and replace it with intelligent automation using APIs, webhooks, and AI agents.
  • Run Experiments, Scale Winners:Dream up and execute differentiated outbound campaigns. A/B test everything, kill what doesn't hit, and scale the winners fast. Every experiment should have a clear line to demos booked.
  • Own Data Integrity End-to-End: Build and maintain the enrichment waterfalls, data flows, and sync architecture that keep our systems accurate, deduplicated, and trustworthy.

Requirements - You Should Be…

  • An AI Native Hunter: You have an engineering background (can be self-taught) but prefer the thrill of growth. You are comfortable jumping on calls with customers, defending technical decisions, and finding the unlock that makes a deal close.
  • An Automation Architect: You see a manual prospecting process and immediately think of the API call or AI agent that replaces it. You are expert-level in building "enrichment waterfalls" and intent-based outbound engines.
  • A "Manager of One": You define your own recipes. You are able to plan and execute GTM experiments end-to-end, holding yourself accountable for qualified meetings, pipeline velocity, and hitting stretch goals within deadlines.
  • A Kaizen Champion: You thrive on iteration. You build, ship, and monitor GTM signals fast, moving through ambiguity without waiting for a perfect script. You know that a great engine is built one refinement at a time.

We’d love it if you:

  • Have 1-3+ years of experience operating in a GTM Engineer, SDR/BDR, or similar technical role at a fast-moving AI-native or B2B startup.
  • Are fluent in the modern AI GTM toolchain – you have hands-on experience with tools like Clay, advanced CRMs, Zapier/n8n, data scrapers, and deploying AI agents for go-to-market use cases.
  • Are technically capable and comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, and complex data integrations. You can write SQL, Python, or JavaScript to solve a problem when no-code tools fall short.
  • Thrive in ambiguity, operate with high ownership, and move fast without waiting for perfect requirements.
  • Have a high tolerance for food puns. If you've made it this far, you may be the exact missing ingredient we need. We work hard, ship great products fast, and find fun in challenges. Building a three-Michelin-star company is not mutually exclusive from doing the most challenging and rewarding work of your career.

Why In-Person in SF Matters (3 Days/Week)

We require 3 days a week in our SF office, and we're looking for builders who truly understand the value of being in the room together. Here's why in-office days matter:

  • Speed requires proximity:The kind of experiments we run and the pace at which we ship happen when you can tap someone on the shoulder.
  • A-players work with A-players: There's a buzzing energy in the office. Hit the whiteboard with anyone here on an in-office day and you'll understand why. Big decisions happen live, not in backlogged async threads.
