Specifically, they leverage the No Surprises Act's Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process to quickly and efficiently boost out-of-network reimbursement for providers at scale.

Role Overview:

They're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their growing engineering team and help scale critical infrastructure. You’ll work closely with the CTO, data and front-end engineering to build robust backend services that power their core platform. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to own major systems and shape backend architecture as they grow.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that support high-throughput data workflows and real-time decision-making.

• Develop and maintain APIs that are secure, performant, and reliable.

• Partner closely with product, operations, and front-end to ship features end-to-end.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions about system design, performance, and scalability.

• Own the full development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and post-release support.

• Improve developer experience by championing best practices in code quality, testing, devops, and observability.

• Actively mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, documentation, and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally working in service-oriented architectures.

• Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and design patterns.

• Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).

• Experience with the full development lifecycle—from system design and development through testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Proficiency in python (fastapi/sqlalchemy) is a strong plus (or another OOO programming language)

• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP or AWS.

• Experience in devops/infrastructure-as-code a plus

• A pragmatic mindset and strong problem-solving abilities—you know how to balance ideal architecture with real-world constraints.

• Passion for building in fast-paced, early-stage environments where you can make a direct impact.

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
