As Head of Engineering (India), you'll be the primary engineering leader on the ground in India. While the CTO gathers product and technical requirements from around the world, your role is to translate those into actionable plans and ensure smooth execution with the engineering team. You’ll act as a cultural and operational bridge, connecting global strategy with local execution.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and grow the Indian engineering team across our hubs in Noida, Pune, and Bangalore
- Translate high-level product requirements into clear engineering plans and milestones
- Work closely with the CTO and global product stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Oversee code quality, development velocity, and operational excellence
- Foster a collaborative and accountable engineering culture across distributed teams
- Hire, mentor, and coach engineers to help them grow technically and professionally
- Ensure seamless communication between India-based engineers and global counterparts
- Establish and enforce best practices in engineering processes, architecture, and DevOps
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 3+ years of education or professional experience in the US (must have worked or studied there)
- Previous experience working with a Silicon Valley-based startup (remote is fine – what matters is your grasp of the startup pace, mindset, and tech culture)
- Strong leadership experience managing engineering teams, ideally in India
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to bridge cross-cultural teams
- Deep understanding of software development practices and product-engineering collaboration
- Based in or willing to relocate to Noida (Delhi NCR), Pune (Mumbai), or Bangalore
Bonus
- Experience building systems with AI/ML or large-scale data infrastructure
- Previous experience as a founder, early employee, or technical lead at a fast-paced startup
- Familiarity with modern product-led engineering practices
