The firm typically invests between $100,000 and $2 million, often serving as the lead institutional investor while partnering with high-value angel investors to help founders build strong pre-seed rounds. Beyond capital, they are committed to supporting entrepreneurs as they transform ambitious ideas into category-defining companies.
Position Overview:
The Office Manager will play an integral role in ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations while providing high-level administrative support to the team, including founders and guests. You’ll be responsible for managing the office environment, coordinating team events, overseeing vendor relationships, and providing proactive, ad-hoc support across the Afore team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by optimizing office operations, improving processes, and taking ownership of key workplace and operational initiatives that support the team’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient workplace experience.
- Oversee office logistics, maintaining an organized, well-equipped workspace, including desks, phone booths, conference rooms, and other office essentials.
- Coordinate in-office lunches, team gatherings, and special events in partnership with the Program and Events Manager to ensure successful execution.
- Manage vendor relationships, oversee office services, and identify opportunities to enhance the workplace experience and perks for founders and the team.
- Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics for the team as needed.
- Support strategic operational initiatives, including vendor management, internal communications, and Slack administration.
- Provide proactive, ad-hoc administrative and operational support across the team.
- Assist with cross-functional strategic operations projects and process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
Is this you?
- 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an office manager or executive assistant role, ideally within a startup.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Positive and cheerful demeanor with an ability to adapt to a fast-paced, flexible work environment.
- Comfortable with minimal structure and able to work under supervision while maintaining efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills.
- Must be able to work in-office 4 days a week.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
