Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards, including revenue recognition and lease accounting
• Oversee advertising revenue accounting, ensuring proper recognition across contracts with varying terms and billing structures
• Manage accounting for hardware deployments, including capitalization, amortization, and asset tracking
• Prepare board-ready financial reporting materials and support leadership in financial storytelling and decision-making
• Lead and manage the company’s audit readiness and audit processes, working closely with external auditors
• Oversee tax preparation and compliance in partnership with external advisors
• Build and maintain financial models and forecasts, supporting budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives
• Improve the speed and efficiency of the monthly close process, reducing manual reconciliations and strengthening reporting workflows
• Develop and implement scalable accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams to support financial planning and operational decisions
• Support financial analysis related to hardware deployment, capital investments, and ROI modeling
• Help design and implement systems and financial infrastructure that can scale as the company grows
• Evaluate and improve financial systems and reporting tools, helping prepare the company for future ERP transitions
• Manage and mentor finance team members, ensuring strong financial discipline across the organization

Is this you?

• 8–12+ years of accounting/finance experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and ownership of core accounting functions (close, reporting, audit support)
• A strong accounting foundation with the ability to also contribute to financial modeling, forecasting, and FP&A work
• Comfortable operating in a startup or high-growth environment, building processes and improving systems as the company scales
• Experienced working with large datasets and complex financial structures, and able to translate financial insights into business decisions
• A collaborative communicator who can partner cross-functionally with leadership, operations, and commercial teams
