Title: Account Manager
Location: Remote with 25% travel
Reporting Structure: This role reports to the VP of Revenue
Company Description
Throne is transforming public infrastructure by delivering clean, safe, smart restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers like LA Metro, Caltrain, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Beverly Hills and Washington DC, we're rapidly scaling and preparing for multi-city expansion in 2026–2027.
Responsibilities
As our Account Manager, you’ll own a portfolio of Throne’s accounts across all tiers—from smaller customers to flagship city deployments—while partnering closely with Sales and Operations to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and scalable account practices.
This role is ideal for someone who has deep experience managing public sector accounts and wants real ownership and influence as we scale.
You will manage a portfolio of high-impact accounts (e.g., major American cities and transit agencies) with a focus on renewal rate, customer satisfaction/referrals, and expansion as Throne grows toward ~$18M ARR and beyond.
Account Ownership
-
Drive renewals: Own renewals end-to-end—identify risk early, run a clear renewal plan, and close on time to maximize renewal rate.
-
Grow accounts through expansion: Earn deep customer trust, uncover expansion opportunities, and advance them by helping customers build internal alignment and identify funding pathways to support growth.
-
Increase satisfaction + referrals: Maintain high customer satisfaction by setting expectations early, communicating clearly, and coordinating fast resolution when issues arise—converting successful customers into references.
-
Lead customer lifecycle moments: Lead onboarding, pilot launches, and post-launch workflows to ensure deployments land smoothly and outcomes are measurable.
-
Run executive-facing customer rhythms: Conduct quarterly business reviews, performance reporting, and insights updates that strengthen relationships and create clear next steps tied to renewals and expansion.
Build Scalable Processes
-
Maintain rigorous HubSpot hygiene: Keep account records, renewal dates, stakeholder notes, and customer communications consistently up to date—using clean CRM data to improve forecast accuracy, surface renewal risk early, and stay ahead of renewal outreach and timelines.
-
Support new market launches: Partner with Sales + Operations to launch new markets on schedule by gathering customer inputs early, aligning on success criteria, and ensuring new Ops teams bake “customer-first” into day-to-day execution.
-
Improve playbooks + forecasting: Contribute to account health tracking, renewal/expansion forecasting, and playbooks (onboarding, comms cadences, QBRs, escalations) so account management scales as Throne grows.
-
Strengthen cross-functional execution: Identify and inform improvements to customer communication and cross-functional workflows.
