Position Summary
Our client, a leading non-emergency medical transportation provider based in Memphis, is seeking a Human Resources Director for their growing organization. The Human Resources Director provides strategic leadership for all HR functions across the company. This role designs and implements a comprehensive compensation and rewards structure, shapes policies and practices to attract and retain talent, and fosters a high-performance, compliant, and employee-centered culture. As a trusted advisor to executives, the HR Director will guide senior leadership on personnel decisions and drive organizational effectiveness through people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all HR functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Design and implement a competitive compensation and rewards structure.
- Guide senior leadership on personnel decisions, succession planning, and workforce strategy.
- Shape HR policies and practices that attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes compliance, equity, and employee engagement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives on people strategy and organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws.
- Lead HR initiatives that strengthen recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention efforts.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and mentor the HR team, building a strong and effective department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; Master’s degree and/or HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SCP) highly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with strong knowledge of HR best practices.
- Proven experience designing compensation and rewards programs.
- Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and organizational development.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while managing day-to-day HR operations.
- Willingness to work onsite in Memphis strongly preferred; hybrid arrangements may be considered.
