Crosstown Concourse is a 1.1-million-square-foot mixed-use development featuring apartments, offices, restaurants, arts and music venues, healthcare, a YMCA, and a public charter high school. The former Sears warehouse is now the world’s largest LEED Platinum-certified historic adaptive reuse project, where 3,000 people come and go daily.

The Opportunity

The CEO owns Crosstown Concourse’s outcomes, from strategic goals and budgets to the people who deliver them, while continuing to prioritize and cultivate the creative, community-driven character that makes Concourse so unique and special.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Set Concourse’s annual and multi-year goals and priorities, and hold the organization accountable to them.
  • Own business performance, including financial results, annual budgets, and multi-year capital plans.
  • Set the organization’s strategy, and spot challenges and opportunities early enough to act on them.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team with clear goals, accountability and an open, inclusive culture.
  • Oversee building operations, leasing, tenant relationships and culture, vendors, security, facilities, and events.
  • Provide clear reporting and communication to the Board of Directors.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, community partners, public officials, and neighborhood stakeholders.
  • Ensure a safe, creative, welcoming, well-maintained environment for everyone who uses and visits the Concourse.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in real estate, property/facilities operations, mixed-use development, community development or a comparable complex organization.
  • Proven success managing people, budgets, capital projects, vendors, and operational performance.
  • Experience leading teams and working with a Board of Directors.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Memphis and the Crosstown neighborhood preferred.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead one of Memphis’ most distinctive, creative and impactful places into its next chapter.
