Digital Marketing and Communications Manager

Memphis, TN

Our client is a high-performance brand-building house building premium craft spirits brands with discipline, intention, and a long-term view. Our current portfolio includes tequila, whiskey, and gin, and represents the first chapter with future brands on the horizon.

They are looking for a highly capable and motivated Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team and own how their brands show up online and in the market. This is an opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility and grow as the organization scales.

Job Summary

Reporting to both the founder and CEO and the chief marketing officer, the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager owns how our client and its portfolio brands show up across social media, websites, content, public relations, and digital advertising.

This person manages the social channels and websites, creates content, runs paid social advertising, and owns day-to-day community engagement. This person also leads PR coordination, including managing our PR firms, building relationships with influencers and industry members, pursuing awards and recognition, and making sure outside partners are working from one clear plan.

Key Responsibilities

●     Social Media Ownership: Own the day-to-day social presence for each portfolio brand across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Build and run a content calendar by brand, planning ahead for seasonal moments from Christmas to National Tequila Day. Manage publishing, comments, direct messages, and day-to-day community engagement.

●     Content Creation: Own content creation as a distinct function. Turn our photo libraries, video, and shoot materials into new posts, and capture content ad hoc yourself or from our team. Plan, shoot, and edit photo and short-form video that feels native to each platform and true to each brand. Every asset must meet brand standards.

●     Public Relations: Manage our PR firms and make sure their work supports the priorities of each brand and the company. Build and maintain relationships with influencers, media, and industry members. Lead outreach, product seeding, award submissions, speaking and event opportunities, and other efforts that earn attention and credibility. Track opportunities, deadlines, deliverables, and results.

●     Paid Social and Advertising: Plan, run, and measure paid social campaigns for each brand. Build campaigns around launches, key selling moments, and the organic posts already winning. Manage budgets, targeting, and creative testing, and show what the spend earns back.

●     Website Management: Keep the Morningside and brand websites current and accurate, managing routine updates directly and coordinating larger changes with our digital technology vendors.

●     Launch and Campaign Support: Build coordinated rollouts for new brands, limited releases, events, and celebrity partnerships, so PR, content, web, organic social, and paid social work together.

●     Analytics and Reporting: Own measurement. Build dashboards and reports that track audience growth, engagement, traffic, content results, PR results, and paid performance across channels. Use the numbers to sharpen the plan, not just to fill a deck.

●     Compliance: Apply beverage alcohol marketing standards across everything we publish, including age-appropriate audience targeting, platform alcohol policies, and industry advertising codes. Protect the brands in every post, campaign, and public communication.

Qualifications

●     Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.

●     3 to 7 years managing social media, web presence, content, or public relations for consumer brands, with a portfolio of work that shows range and commercial impact.

●     Experience managing outside PR firms, influencer relationships, media outreach, awards, and other earned-media opportunities.

●     Demonstrated ability to run multiple distinct brand voices at once without letting them blur together.

●     Hands-on content creation experience, from shooting and editing to publishing and community management.

●     Native fluency in Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn, plus the scheduling and analytics tools behind them.

●     Hands-on experience planning, running, and measuring paid campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads.

●     Comfort managing websites through standard CMS and e-commerce platforms.

●     Familiarity with AI-assisted content tools.

●     Clear, direct communication, with receptiveness to feedback and iterative improvement.

●     Strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

●     Experience in beverage alcohol or consumer packaged goods preferred.

Company Culture

Compensation includes a base salary commensurate with experience, performance bonuses tied to company revenue goals, and health, dental, and vision insurance. This is a small, high-performing team where your work is visible to the founder from day one.

Travel and Work Environment

This is a full-time position requiring regular in-person attendance in their Memphis, Tennessee office; candidates should be Memphis-based or willing to relocate.
