Position Summary

The Director of Operations will play a critical leadership role in ensuring smooth execution across our franchise and manufacturing operations. This individual will be expected to quickly become a product and process expert, lead a small but high-impact team, and drive improvements in training, quality control, materials flow, and day-to-day support for franchise partners.

Reporting directly to the President, this role requires a strong operator with a hands-on mindset, capable of jumping in where needed while also maintaining a strategic view of our operational infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings experience in systems/process development, cross-functional coordination, and team leadership in a growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Oversight & Execution

  • Become a subject matter expert in all product categories, systems, and fulfillment processes
  • Own the installation support and training process — responsible for building and maintaining the workflows, tools, and materials that enable franchise partners and their installers to execute successfully
  • Develop, document, and optimize SOPs to drive consistency across franchise operations
  • Monitor KPIs to ensure service quality, lead time reliability, and process adherence

2. Franchise and Partner Support

  • Serve as a key point of contact for franchise partners on operational matters
  • Identify and resolve recurring pain points by driving actionable solutions that can scale across markets

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a small operations team, setting clear expectations and driving accountability
  • Support professional development through mentorship, coaching, and process ownership
  • Foster a culture of ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in operations, logistics, or product-based leadership roles, ideally in a franchise, construction, or home services business
  • Proven ability to quickly master technical product knowledge and translate it into clear processes
  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams; strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with operational tools and platforms including CRMs and workflow optimization tools
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a scaling business
