Lighting Regional Sales Manager – Northeast



Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Lighting Regional Sales Manager to oversee and drive the growth of our operations in the Northeast/East Coast region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the LED lighting industry. This role will be pivotal in expanding our market presence, managing regional sales teams, and fostering strong relationships with key clients and partners.



  • Regional Leadership: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals across the Northeast region, setting performance goals and providing guidance to achieve them.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth and market share expansion in the Northeast region.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners. Address client needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.
  • Performance Tracking: Analyze sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management. Implement corrective actions as needed to meet targets.



Travel: Approximately 50% travel required.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the “business” of the assigned region through a strong partnership with sales agents.
  • Diligently building and managing a schedule to insure the maximum amount of presentation time, with both the sales agent’s sales teams and specifiers across the region, in person and virtually.
  • Provide training for sales agents, especially for new product launches.
  • Participate in annual sales agent budget development exercise and manage each sales agent to success throughout the year.
  • Assist other Sales Team members, as well as Management as needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day specification and sales activities. Ensure that the specification community have the necessary information and product training to be successful. 
  • Developing and executing business plans and strategies to deepen and broaden new customers and increase specifications. 
  • Collaborate effectively with the internal team to align with the specification community for accurate budgeting of labor and material. 
  • Demonstrate unique specification approach combining a package of products to improve acoustics, lighting and performance finishes. 
  • Assist in technical layouts, install methods with customers and the internal teams. 
  • Triangulate communication of project budget, quotation, project details and lead times with spec writer, Installation Team and general contractor. 
  • Give dynamic presentation of technical products to the specification community. 
  • Provide input on growth opportunities and new product ideas. 
  • Monitoring and reporting on sales milestones. 
  • Assist in forecasting and working cross-functionally with internal departments to assist with existing and new customer success. 
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry functions. 
  • Bringing strategic relationships with Architects, Design Firms, FF&E companies, Lighting Designers and Acousticians.
  • Transparent, outgoing, engaging and highly focused on customer service combined with an aggressive sales personality. 
  • Knowledge of current trends in acoustics, architecture, lighting and finishes.
  • History of specifying high end, technical and performance products. 
  • Development of national accounts in retail, hospitality, automotive and multi-location roll outs is preferred. 
  • Positive attitude as well as excellent communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Passionate about helping customers get more out of their investments.
