Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead and accelerate our growth within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. This executive leader will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, expanding market share, building high-performing teams, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with a strong track record of scaling businesses, entering new markets, and creating a culture of accountability and performance. This individual will have experience selling complex solutions into industrial and manufacturing environments and possess the leadership capability to recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with aggressive growth objectives and overall business goals.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities within industrial and manufacturing sectors.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales organization capable of achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent, creating a scalable structure to support continued growth.
  • Establish sales processes, performance metrics, forecasting models, and reporting tools to drive accountability and predictability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales effectiveness through coaching, training, and implementation of best practices.
  • Partner with operations, marketing, customer service, and product teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences and successful execution.
  • Monitor sales pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and overall team performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue within industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or related B2B markets.
  • Proven experience building and leading successful sales teams through periods of rapid growth.
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding aggressive sales goals and expanding market share.
  • Strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling methodologies.
  • Experience developing sales strategies for complex sales cycles and multiple customer segments.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales analytics, and forecasting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customers, business development efforts, and team leadership.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling to manufacturers, industrial facilities, distributors, or supply chain organizations.
  • Background leading multi-state or national sales teams.
  • Experience implementing sales processes with a history of aggressive growth.
