Location: Millington, TN; Regular travel to Nashville, TN and Jackson, TN expected 

FLSA Status: Exempt (Salaried) 

Reports To: Chief Strategy Officer 

On Site/Remote: Fully Onsite 


Position Summary 

We are seeking a strategic and operationally minded leader to oversee and optimize day-to-day transportation operations of an established non-emergency medical transportation company, while helping position the organization for long-term growth and innovation. 


This role is ideal for someone who understands both the operational realities of a transportation provider and the broader strategic opportunities that exist within a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) brokerage environment. The Senior Operations Manager will help align operational execution with larger organizational goals. 


The ideal candidate is highly analytical, financially minded, and comfortable leading operational change in a fast-paced environment. This person should be energized by solving complex logistical challenges, improving efficiency, and identifying opportunities to increase profitability while maintaining exceptional service quality. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and optimize daily transportation operations across scheduling, dispatch, fleet utilization, and workforce management
  • Analyze operational and financial performance, including P&L management, labor efficiency, and cost containment initiatives 
  • Improve shift structure and staffing models to maximize operational coverage and productivity
  • Drive fleet efficiency initiatives, including vehicle utilization, maintenance coordination, and route optimization 
  • Partner closely with brokerage leadership to strategically align provider operations with broader network and member needs 
  • Help lead and support an upcoming scheduling and dispatch software transition, including operational implementation, process redesign, and change management 
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for growth, diversification, and new lines of business
  • Develop scalable operational processes that support future expansion while improving service quality and profitability 
  • Utilize data and reporting to drive decision-making, accountability, and continuous improvement 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, compliance, IT, and brokerage leadership teams

Qualifications 

Required 

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience 
  • Experience managing transportation, logistics, or similar field operations 
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and cost analysis 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis 
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record 

Preferred 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or related field 
  • Experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) or brokerage environments
  • Experience managing multi-site operations 
  • Familiarity with transportation management or dispatch systems

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods 
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds 
  • Ability to perform frequent computer-based work, including data analysis, reporting, and system navigation 
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with staff in person, via phone, and through written communication 
  • Ability to travel between locations as needed 


Work Schedule & Conditions 

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 
  • Fully onsite role based in Millington, TN 
  • Regular travel to Nashville and Jackson required
