NECTO Selection has been retained by a long established Northern Ireland Main Contractor to assist them with the recruitment of a strong Intermediate / Senior Quantity Surveyor. Our client is a well-known and highly regarded Main Contractor with a proud history spanning over 20 years. Our client undertakes a wide variety and diverse range of projects. This Quantity Surveyor is to compliment an existing and long established commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Main Contractor that has been experiencing successive years of growth. This appointment has been created due to new projects that have been awarded in NI and there is no travel to the UK required. for this reason.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will

• Be expected to take responsibility for the cost & value of projects.
• Prepare tender packages, enquiries, analysis, negotiation and scope of works.
• Negotiate valuations & final accounts for projects.
• Have experience in delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
• Also assist in establishing client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies as well as allocating work to subcontractors.

What's required?

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Relevant Main Contractor experience.
• You will have 5 + years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
• Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices & techniques.
• Ability to interpret & make calculations based on drawings.
• Flexible & professional approach to work, self-motivated, confident & organised.
• Sound IT skills including Microsoft Office & Excel.

A negotiable salary and package on this position is available + car + bonus
