IPS is working with a $12M digital health company, seeking an SVP, Systems & Integrations, to own and evolve the company’s business technology architecture and operating ecosystem.
This is not a traditional CTO role focused on building software products.
Instead, this leader will:
- Design and orchestrate how systems, data, and workflows connect across the business
- Define the integration and interoperability architecture across healthcare partners
- Leverage and connect best-in-class platforms, rather than building bespoke systems unless strategically necessary
A critical early priority will be leading the company’s integration with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)—enabling automated, frictionless patient referrals and seamless data exchange with healthcare partners. This level of interoperability is central to the company’s long-term strategy.
Role Responsibilities:
- Own the company’s business technology architecture, including the roadmap for enterprise applications, workflow design, integrations, and scalable infrastructure
- Design and orchestrate the systems supporting the full lifecycle: lead → registration → attendance → billing → outcomes
- Define and implement a unified operating ecosystem, connecting CRM, marketing, data, finance, and operational systems
- Establish a single source of truth across all business data, enabling clear reporting, attribution, and decision-making
- Lead integration and interoperability strategy across EMRs, healthcare partners, and payer systems (FHIR, EDI, APIs)
- Connect and optimize fragmented systems into a cohesive, scalable platform
- Improve operational efficiency by eliminating manual workflows and strengthening execution discipline
- Own vendor strategy and platform selection, prioritizing best-in-class tools and thoughtful build vs. buy decisions
- Support both internal reporting and external validation (payers, partners, outcomes)
- Define and deploy AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency, automation, and customer experience
- Help shape the long-term systems, data, and RevOps organization, including team structure and capabilities as the company scales
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of leadership experience across technology, systems, or business operations
- Proven experience integrating with EMR/EHR systems (non-negotiable)
- Experience in healthcare, digital health, or regulated environments
- Strong experience designing and integrating systems across CRM, data, and operational workflows
- Track record of systems integration and operational transformation in growth-stage environments
- Ability to connect systems and data to commercial outcomes, revenue visibility, and operational efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, EDI – 270/271, 835, 837) or similar APIs
- Familiarity with revenue cycle management and payer workflows
- Experience in high-growth or investor-backed environments
About You:
- You think in terms of systems, architecture, and orchestration, not just building software
- You are commercially oriented, connecting technology decisions to revenue and outcomes
- You are pragmatic and prioritize leveraging best-in-class platforms over building from scratch
- You are comfortable building structure in a scaling, evolving environment
- You are low ego, highly collaborative, and operate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
