POSITION OBJECTIVE
As a Lead Software Developer, you will report to Roger Stone, Application Development Manager, and play a vital role in leading and mentoring a team of software developers.
Your team will be tasked with delivering high quality solutions that meet business needs on time and within scope. In addition to architecting and implementing scalable web based solutions, you will also build relationships and communicate with the other development teams as well as key business stakeholders outside of our IT team.
The ideal candidate is someone who is an experienced developer with considerable technical skill, but also a good teacher and leader who can help others grow in addition to themselves.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs while maintaining 99.9% uptime
- Build and mentor a team that consistently delivers projects on time and within scope
- Create and maintain development standards that reduce technical debt and improve code quality
- Establish strong partnerships with business stakeholders and effectively translate their needs into technical solutions
- Demonstrate our core values through technical leadership and team management
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 7+ years of software development experience preferred
- Front end and back end experience needed
- Web development experience needed
- JavaScript experience required
- Data architecture experience preferred
- Strong work ethic
- Motivated by purpose, not by money
- Eagerness to learn and grow and also to help others to do the same
- Leadership experience, not just management experience
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to delegate
