The Opportunity
Southern Electrical Contractors is creating a new leadership position that sits at the intersection of estimating, business development, client relationship management, and project execution. This person will partner directly with President Gray Johnston and help drive the company's next phase of growth by identifying opportunities, developing bid strategies, and ensuring smooth handoffs into operations.
What They're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who can:
- Lead estimating efforts for industrial and heavy commercial electrical projects
- Build relationships with GCs, owners, and industry partners
- Pursue and help win new work
- Support design-build pursuits and conceptual electrical design
- Evaluate project risk, fit, and profitability
- Coordinate the transition from preconstruction into project execution
- Help develop and improve SEC's overall preconstruction processes as the company grows
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of electrical estimating and/or project management experience
- Industrial and/or heavy commercial electrical experience
- Design-build experience preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, labor, pricing, and project execution
- Ability to assess project risk and profitability
- Degree is not required; practical industry experience is valued most.
