Founded in 2024 by Landon Herndon and Tre Palmer, Kingsman specializes in underground utilities, earthwork, and site development across residential, commercial, and municipal projects. The company has grown rapidly from approximately $6M in revenue last year to a projected $16M this year. Looking ahead, Kingsman plans to grow to approximately 100 employees and $50M in revenue in the next few years. Kingsman was founded with a mission to glorify God through the way the company serves its employees, customers, and community. Landon and Tre are passionate about building a different kind of construction company, one where people are excited to come to work, grow alongside one another, and operate with a high level of ownership and accountability.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Kingsman Development is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This leader will take full ownership of project management across multiple active civil construction projects while helping Kingsman build the structure, systems, and accountability necessary for its next stage of growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on project leader who can immediately execute at the Senior PM level while possessing the leadership capacity to quickly grow into a Director of Operations role. This is an opportunity for someone who has learned how a strong civil construction operation should run and is excited to bring that experience into a smaller, entrepreneurial environment where they can make a meaningful impact. Kingsman is not looking for someone who needs layers of support beneath them; they are looking for a “doer” who can personally execute, identify opportunities for improvement, and help build the operating structure around them. The role will initially focus heavily on project management, with the opportunity to take on broader operational leadership as trust is established and the business continues to grow.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Project Management & Financial Performance

○ Take full ownership of multiple active civil construction projects from planning through completion.

○ Develop and manage project schedules, staffing plans, equipment needs, budgets, and production goals while consistently tracking performance against the original estimate.

○ Maintain visibility into job costs and project performance, identify issues early, and proactively address risks that could impact schedule, profitability, quality, or client relationships.

● Field & Production Leadership

○ Partner closely with the Superintendent, Foremen, and field teams to ensure projects are properly staffed, equipped, and positioned for strong production.

○ Bring strong civil construction judgment around manpower, equipment, means and methods, and overall project execution.

● Structure, Accountability & Team Development

○ Help bring greater structure and consistency as the company grows.

○ Establish clear expectations, improve communication between the office and field, and create accountability around performance.

● Client & Market Relationships

○ Represent Kingsman professionally with developers, builders, general contractors, inspectors, and other project partners.

○ Build trust with clients, protect Kingsman’s reputation in the Arizona construction community, and develop relationships that support the company’s continued growth.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

● 10+ years of progressive civil construction experience required, ideally within underground utilities, earthwork, site development, concrete, or related work

● 5+ years of project management experience preferred, with demonstrated ownership of multiple concurrent projects, budgets, schedules, staffing, equipment, production, and job costs

● Experience working within a $50M+ civil construction company, with exposure to the systems, processes, and operating discipline required to perform successfully at that scale

● Strong technical understanding of field operations, means and methods, manpower, equipment, sequencing, scheduling, and production

● Arizona/Phoenix market experience strongly preferred, with established relationships among developers, builders, subcontractors, and/or potential future hires

● Hands-on, resourceful “doer” mentality with the willingness to personally execute rather than relying on layers of support staff

● Proven ability to bring structure, organization, and accountability to a growing operation without creating unnecessary bureaucracy

● Strong financial and business acumen, with experience tracking projects against estimates, monitoring job costs, forecasting, and protecting project profitability

● Humble, relational, and emotionally steady leader who communicates well, earns trust with both field and office teams, and can hold people accountable without damaging relationships

● Proactive problem solver and builder who identifies blind spots, takes ownership, and is energized by the opportunity to help scale a growing company

● Comfortable working within Kingsman’s faith-driven, people-first culture and aligned with its commitment to high performance, integrity, and developing people
