Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic lead for accounts, fostering direct relations with key clients, understanding their business thoroughly, and keeping them updated on industry trends.
  • Take ownership of new briefs, distilling key asks, and forming a communications structure for the Planning and Investment teams.
  • Collaborate with planning, investment, insights, tech, and effectiveness teams to create strategies.
  • Continuously accelerate personal learning by keeping up to date on industry work, research, and debates within Strategy and Marketing Science.
  • Act as the agency's spokesperson by contributing to industry articles, presenting at events, and writing award-winning papers.
  • Play a key role in new business efforts, helping to increase agency revenue and proving oneself as a changemaker within the organisation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the clients' industry, with insider knowledge of key players.
  • Build knowledge of marketing science through reading and debate with Strategy team members.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for key client decision-makers.
  • Plan or develop strategies for large-scale ad campaigns in the UK.

 

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in media planning.
  • Previous experience in a strategically focused role within the media sphere.
  • Account Director or equivalent level of experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in media planning and buying.
  • Expert understanding of channel and technology interactions and how these can create strategic opportunities for clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry topics and research, including campaign case studies and seminal marketing effectiveness studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of being a trusted advisor and handling difficult conversations.
