Chief Revenue Officer
This company is a world-leading provider of enterprise software for the aviation leasing industry. The platform supports mission-critical asset and lease management operations for lessors and asset managers globally, helping clients manage complex portfolios across aircraft and engine assets worth more than $100 billion. The business has experienced strong, sustained, self-funded growth and is now expanding into the airline market as its next major growth phase.
The Role
This is a newly created, senior leadership position responsible for commercial strategy, revenue performance, growth, and execution. The CRO will provide leadership across every revenue stream, build a scalable commercial function, and bring structure and alignment across the different revenue functions. This is a player-coach role combining executive leadership with direct involvement in strategic enterprise opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the company's revenue strategy and go-to-market plans
- Identify new markets, partnerships, alliances, and channel opportunities
- Own pricing, packaging, and commercial strategies
- Build business cases for new products, services, and market segments
- Establish annual and multi-year growth plans
- Lead the expansion into the airline market, growing from one airline customer to approximately six to eight
Sales Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales and account management team
- Establish sales methodologies, operating rhythms, and performance metrics
- Personally lead and close complex enterprise software opportunities
- Oversee account planning and strategic deal reviews
- Recommend and administer commercial compensation and incentive plans
Customer Success & Retention
- Own customer retention, expansion, and long-term account value
- Drive Net Revenue Retention (NRR) performance
- Function as executive sponsor for strategic customers and major renewal opportunities
Revenue Operations & Forecasting
- Own CRM governance, pipeline management, and forecasting processes
- Develop revenue dashboards and KPI frameworks
- Ensure forecast accuracy and visibility for executive leadership
Executive Leadership
- Serve as a senior member of the leadership team
- Present commercial performance and growth plans to leadership and stakeholders
- Support budgeting, strategic planning, and business performance management
- Take P&L responsibility for the commercial function
What They Are Looking For
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in enterprise software or SaaS
- Proven success leading enterprise sales teams through complex, long-cycle sales
- Experience building scalable revenue organisations and operating models
- Strong understanding of pricing, forecasting, customer retention, and SaaS metrics
- P&L and executive leadership experience
- Aviation or aircraft leasing background highly desirable — relationships are critical in this market
- Data-driven approach with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high energy, and comfortable acting as both strategic leader and hands-on player-coach
