Senior Strategic Financial Analyst

About the Company

This company sits at the intersection of banking and advertising, giving advertisers a direct read on

real consumer spend, not modelled estimates.

They operate across the US and UK, reaching hundreds of millions of consumers, and they've built

deep, long-term partnerships with some of the largest financial institutions in the market. It's a

business with serious commercial momentum, a product that genuinely works, and the kind of data

advantage that's very hard to replicate.

About the Team

The Strategic Finance and FP&A team sits right at the centre of how this business makes decisions.

They're not a back-office function producing reports nobody reads. They're a commercial team,

partnering directly with business leaders, shaping strategy, and making sure financial insight

actually influences what happens next. If you want to see your work matter, this is the team to be

on.

About the Position

This is a Senior Strategic Financial Analyst role reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance

and FP&A, and it's a proper finance role, not a glorified spreadsheet job.

You'd be embedded across multiple business verticals, owning the full FP&A cycle, and sitting close

enough to senior leadership to see how the decisions get made. The business is growing fast, the

financial landscape is genuinely complex, and the expectation is that you bring sharp thinking and

real commercial instinct, not just accurate numbers.

If you're someone who gets restless doing the same thing on repeat, who finds the story behind the

numbers more interesting than the numbers themselves, and who wants to be in the room when

strategy gets set, this is worth a serious look.

You will:

  • Partner directly with business leaders to build long-range strategic financial plans and turn complex financial data into clear, actionable commercial insight
  • Own the full FP&A cycle across your business verticals, monthly close, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and executive reporting, end to end
  • Drive monthly actual versus budget reporting and variance analysis, identifying the realdrivers and writing the kind of commentary that senior stakeholders actually find useful
  • Manage the yearly Capital Expense budget across both software development and physical long-term assets
  • Build business cases that help the organisation make better, value-driven decisions
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting on month-end close to make sure expenses, accruals, and variance explanations are accurate and complete
  • Spot process inefficiencies and fix them, with a genuine mindset for continuous improvement rather than just getting through the cycle

You have:

  • An undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline from a strong institution
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, investment banking, equity research, or a closely related field
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining three-statement financial and valuation models
  • Experience working in AdTech, SaaS, or a similarly fast-moving, high-growth environment
  • A track record of working cross-functionally and building strong relationships with senior business stakeholders

You are:

  • Highly detail-oriented, with a real commitment to accuracy and precision in everything you produce
  • Analytically sharp and tenacious when it comes to untangling a problem and finding the answer
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at once without dropping the ball on any of them
  • An Excel expert, genuinely, not just confident
