Platform Manager (EMEA) – Global Automotive Account

About the Client
The role supports a major global automotive group, representing a portfolio of some of the most recognised vehicle brands across luxury, performance, and commercial sectors.
Following a highly competitive global pitch, the business retained the account and committed to building regional digital activation hubs designed to deliver best-in-class performance marketing at scale.
These hubs are supported by a central Media Operations function responsible for:
- Platform governance
- Digital quality standards
- Process automation
- Ad operations and trafficking
- KPI framework and performance tracking
About the Role
Reporting into the Operations Director, this role is responsible for owning and maintaining the marketing platform infrastructure that underpins digital campaign delivery across EMEA.
This is a critical operational and technical role, ensuring activation teams have the right platform setup, access, and support to deliver high-quality, data-driven media campaigns.
It would suit someone with a strong understanding of biddable media platforms and ad tech ecosystems, combined with the ability to coordinate across multiple international teams.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Management
- Own best practice for the setup and management of marketing platforms and integrations
- Design, implement and maintain ad account structures across 25+ platforms, including leading restructuring projects where required
- Manage user access, permissions, and platform governance, ensuring security and efficiency
- Oversee all administrative aspects of platforms, including billing, compliance, and legal accuracy
- Support the development and optimisation of internal service desk systems for platform and access requests
- Act as the go-to expert for platform troubleshooting and support
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with regional digital activation hubs and local market teams to ensure smooth platform operations
- Build strong relationships with platform providers (e.g. major walled gardens and DSP partners) to stay aligned on best practices
- Collaborate with internal specialists across:
- Data & audience strategy
- Tagging & measurement
- Activation teams
- Finance & compliance
- Brand safety & governance
- Coordinate cross-functional projects related to account setup, restructuring, and process improvement
Experience & Skills
- Strong understanding of ad tech and biddable media platforms, including:
- Enterprise ad servers and programmatic platforms
- Paid social ecosystems
- DSP environments
- Experience with platform architecture, including:
- Account structures
- Audience and pixel setup
- Billing and access management
- Knowledge of the end-to-end campaign lifecycle, including data flows and integrations
- Understanding of programmatic, paid social, and search activation principles (hands-on experience beneficial)
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects across different markets simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
- Confident communicator, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Previous experience mentoring or managing others is advantageous
