Senior IT Engineer

A NASDAQ-listed AdTech business partnering with major banks to power real consumer spending intelligence

About the Company

This company sits at the intersection of banking and advertising, giving advertisers a direct read on real consumer spend, not modelled estimates.

They operate across the US and UK, reaching hundreds of millions of consumers, and they've built deep, long-term partnerships with some of the largest financial institutions in the market. It's a business with serious commercial momentum, a product that genuinely works, and the kind of data advantage that's very hard to replicate.

About the Team

The IT and Security team isn't just keeping the lights on. They're the infrastructure backbone of a fast-moving, data-heavy AdTech business, and the work they do directly shapes how hundreds of employees across multiple countries operate every single day. It's a lean, senior team with real ownership, close proximity to leadership, and the kind of scope that larger IT departments rarely offer.

About the Position

This is a Senior IT Engineer role reporting directly to the CISO and Head of Corporate IT, and it's genuinely one of the more interesting IT briefs in the market right now.

You'd be coming in to own, modernise, and scale the IT and SaaS infrastructure for a global business that's growing fast. The expectation isn't to maintain what's there. It's to look at what exists, identify where it falls short, and build something better. You'd have the seniority, the access, and the mandate to do that properly.

If you're someone who finds genuine satisfaction in building systems that scale, cutting out inefficiency through smart automation, and being the person others rely on when things get complex, this is worth a serious look.

You will:

  • Own the company's Okta environment end-to-end across a global organisation, including sandboxes and profile masters, and make identity and access management genuinely robust at scale
  • Take full ownership of the tools the whole business runs on, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, GitHub, and more, and make sure every employee gets a seamless experience from day one
  • Lead endpoint engineering across a mixed macOS and Windows environment, using Iru (f/k/a Kandji) and Intune, building something consistent and scalable rather than patched together
  • Design and implement automation that removes real toil from IT operations, through Okta Workflows, Jira automation, and beyond, so the team spends time on work that actually moves things forward
  • Evaluate technical requirements at pace and deliver long-term solutions the business can grow into, not quick fixes that create three more problems six months later
  • Be the senior escalation point when things get hard, the person who brings clarity and direction under pressure
  • Keep documentation genuinely useful, not just technically accurate

You have:

  • 7+ years of experience managing SaaS platforms within midsize enterprises
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of at least one major public cloud and a solid understanding of cloud-native technologies
  • Real experience in DevOps or SRE practices, including infrastructure-as-code
  • A track record of building automation that delivers measurable efficiency and cost improvements
  • The communication skills to work effectively across distributed, asynchronous teams at a senior level
  • The ability to mentor and develop others, not just solve problems yourself
