Broadcast / AV Planner

An established independent media agency (IPA member) is hiring a Broadcast / AV Planner to support continued growth across TV and video. This is a hands-on planning role for someone who can confidently run linear TV and VOD campaigns end-to-end, from brief through to in-flight optimisation and post-campaign learning.

The role

You’ll take ownership of AV planning and delivery across a portfolio of clients, working closely with the Planning Manager and wider planning team. You’ll have analyst support for post-campaign reporting, but you’ll remain close to campaign performance and optimisation in-flight.

Key responsibilities

  • Build AV responses to client briefs across linear TV and VOD (CTV experience is a plus)
  • Develop AV plans, including channel selection, audiences, phasing/flighting, and budget allocation
  • Manage campaign set-up and delivery: scheduling, flighting, spot times, and in-flight changes
  • Monitor and optimise campaigns using tools such as Adalyser
  • Work directly with media owners and internal teams to secure placements and manage delivery
  • Support client communication on AV activity, timings, and performance updates
  • Contribute to post-campaign analysis and recommendations with the support of a data analyst
  • Ensure campaign documentation, approvals, and booking details are accurate and up to date

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience planning and managing linear TV campaigns (essential)
  • AV planning experience across TV and VOD within an agency or media owner environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple campaigns/clients at once and prioritising delivery tasks
  • Working knowledge of Techedge and Adalyser (or equivalent AV planning/measurement tools)
  • Confident communicator, comfortable in a client-facing role
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to take ownership without needing basic training

Nice to have

  • Connected TV (CTV) planning experience
  • Cinema and/or radio planning exposure
  • Experience in an independent or agile agency where you’ve seen campaigns through end-to-end

Working pattern

  • Full-time role within an office-based team, with hybrid working
  • Flexible start/finish times within set core windows
  • Early finish on Fridays when additional hours have been banked during the week
  • Birthday off
  • Fully stocked fridge (snacks and drinks)
