Job Title: Amazon Account Manager

Report To: Sales & Marketing Director

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Place of Work: Oakham Office (Hybrid option after probation)

Hours of Work: 40 hour working week. Monday-Friday between 8am – 5pm

Leave: 23 days holiday rising to 25 days after 3 years’ service + BH

About the Role


This Role is about Shape the Future of Fire Safety in the Digital Age.


Firechief Global is a dynamic and innovative fire safety brand, requiring a strategic and experienced Amazon Account Manager to lead our Amazon sales channel. We're looking for someone to take charge of our Amazon shop, selling life-saving fire safety equipment to homes and businesses across the country. It's not just about selling products – every sale means another family or workplace is better protected. You'll be the brains behind our online growth, using your knack for numbers and people skills to double our reach in the next year. Working with the latest fire safety products, you'll lead a dedicated team and find clever ways to get our products into more hands. If you're good with data, great with people and want your work to truly matter, this could be right up your street. The content of this job description is not exhaustive whilst it does include the following:


Main Goals in Year One:


-       Gain an understanding of the account in order to maintain and grow sales

-       Learning our existing and new products to enable them to be optimised.

-       2 recently launched products to be further optimised to grow sales


Duties & Responsibilities

 

Strategic Leadership

-      Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to enhance our brand's Amazon presence, focusing on revenue growth and market expansion

-      Lead P&L management and budgeting for Amazon channel leveraging insights for continuous improvement and ROI enhancement

-      Build and maintain strategic relationships with Amazon stakeholders

-      Work with other members of the Firechief team to investigate and undertake product research and Amazon marketplace analysis and investigate any opportunities to ascertain commercial viability and business suitability for products and other services that may be available to us

-      Identify and pursue expansion opportunities across Amazon marketplaces

-      Investigate new Amazon opportunities (e.g., Europe, Ad campaigns, Amazon Freight) to assess commercial viability

-      Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including supply chain and finance, to ensure seamless e-commerce operations and stock level management

 

Operational Management

-      Manage Vendor Central operations including:

o  Product listings and content optimisation

o  Inventory management

o  Brand registry maintenance

o  Advertising campaigns

-      Work closely with the Finance team to keep track of the financial health of the account and to check and dispute any chargebacks where required

-      Ensure compliance with Amazon policies and requirements


Analytics & Reporting

-      Drive data-driven decision making through performance analysis to optimize our Amazon growth strategy whilst aligning it with broader business goals

-      Create and maintain KPI dashboards

-      Forecast sales and track growth metrics

-      Report on ROI and channel performance


Team Leadership

-      Lead, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation

-      Foster innovation and excellence culture

-      Facilitate cross-functional collaboration


Qualifications

-      Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field

-      Amazon marketplace (or a similar organisation) management is desirable

-      Exposure to or knowledge of e-commerce is desirable

 

Experience

-      Budget, P&L and team management experience is desirable

-      Success in managing and growing an Amazon sales channel would also be of benefit

-      Experience in e-commerce marketing is essential

-      Some wider commercial marketing experience would be of benefit


Skills

-      Advanced analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making

-      Excellent communication and leadership skills

-      Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics and HubSpot

-      Creative problem-solving abilities, adaptable in a dynamic e-commerce landscape

-      Solid understanding of supply chain dynamics, particularly in an e-commerce context

-      Ability to understand financial accounts and reports


Person Description

You will be someone who naturally takes charge while being great with both numbers and people. You'll be comfortable making tough decisions and also skilled at building relationships and getting others on board with your plans. You're the kind of person who loves diving into data and spotting trends, while you can also step back and see the bigger picture. You'll be organised and thorough in your work, especially when it comes to following Amazon's rules and processes. You won't get so caught up in the details that you lose sight of the main goal - growing sales. You're happy to speak up in meetings and share your thoughts, and you also know when to listen and learn from others. Most importantly, you're someone who can handle several things at once, from checking stock levels and sorting out customer issues to liaising with other departments and planning for the future.
