Position: Executive Housekeeper

Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour, with quarterly bonus potential
Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and meticulous Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping department and uphold our commitment to exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with proven experience in hospitality management, responsible for directing all housekeeping operations to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment for all our guests.
As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day functions of the department, from staff supervision and training to inventory control and budget management. Your expertise will ensure that all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet and exceed our high standards for hygiene and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the entire housekeeping department, including room attendants, housepersons, and laundry staff.
- Develop and implement rigorous cleaning protocols and procedures for all areas of the hotel, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to guarantee they meet established quality standards.
- Recruit, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage departmental scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations to optimize efficiency and team morale.
- Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest room amenities, placing orders as needed while adhering to budget guidelines.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to report and address any repair or maintenance issues promptly.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns related to housekeeping with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring swift resolution.
- Prepare and manage the departmental budget, controlling expenses and labor costs effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in a housekeeping management or supervisory role within the hotel industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for cleanliness and organization.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, budgeting, and cost-control principles.
- Proficient knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper cleaning techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff and guests.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
