Sales Tax Accountant + Temporary + Omaha

Our client is a rapidly growing national services company experiencing significant expansion and is seeking a Temporary Sales Tax Accountant to provide immediate support with sales tax compliance and general accounting responsibilities.

This is a full-time, in-office opportunity where you'll join an established accounting team and make an immediate impact by helping ensure timely and accurate sales tax filings across multiple states.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, file, and remit multi-state sales tax returns and payments
• Ensure sales tax filings are accurate and completed on schedule
• Research and resolve sales tax questions and discrepancies
• Assist with general staff accounting responsibilities as workload requires
• Support month-end accounting activities, reconciliations, and other financial tasks
• Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records and improve processes

What They're Looking For

Required

• Previous experience preparing and filing multi-state sales tax returns
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and work independently
• Solid Microsoft Excel skills
