Controller + Financial Institution + Nebraska

What You’ll Do 

• Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaids, and accruals 
• Lead monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and FDICIA standards 
• Prepare financial statements, Call Reports, and other regulatory filings 
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure readiness for both internal and external audits 
• Partner closely with leadership to support strategic initiatives, budget planning, and profitability analysis 
• Serve as a key liaison to external auditors, tax preparers, and regulators 

What They’re Looking For 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
• CPA required 
• 3–5+ years of experience in public accounting or within banking 
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards 
• Experience with bank regulatory reporting a plus 
• Leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and guide team members 
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and discretion with confidential information
