They are seeking a hands-on Controller who’s excited to step in, create structure, elevate the team, and bring systems and reporting to the next level.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and lead the monthly close process from start to finish
- Ensure accuracy across the general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Oversee A/P and A/R functions, driving efficiency and accountability
- Partner across the business to support operational decision-making
- Act as the primary liaison for external audits and compliance activities
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes
- Work closely with leadership while also operating independently in day-to-day execution
Where You’ll Make an Impact
- Create structure where it doesn’t exist today (processes and documentation)
- Elevate reporting and visibility through tools like Power BI
- Support and optimize ERP systems
- Identify ways to streamline workflows and reduce manual work
- Bring a more proactive, forward-looking approach to accounting and reporting
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5 across A/P, A/R, and staff accounting
- Coach, mentor, and raise the bar on performance and accountability
- Empower the team while also being willing to roll up your sleeves when needed
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- Proven ability to improve processes, not just maintain them
- Comfort working with systems, data, and reporting tools
- Natural curiosity around technology and automation
- A self-starter who thrives in environments where you can figure things out and build as you go
