Controller + Growing Company + Omaha 

Our client, a growing, locally owned construction company is looking for a hands-on Controller who wants to build something — not just maintain it. This is a true ownership opportunity for someone who thrives in a blue-collar, high-work-ethic environment and wants a seat at the table with leadership. 

What You’ll Own 

• Lead the full accounting cycle 
• Oversee 1–2 team members (including AP) 
• Manage AR, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting 
• Own job costing, WIP schedules, and payroll 
• Maintain banking relationships 
• Partner with external CPA firm on tax, audit, and 401(k) matters 
• Drive a major systems transition from QuickBooks Online & Procore into a fully integrated ERP platform (Foundations experience would be a big plus) 

What They’re Looking For 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA not required) 
• 2–3+ years as a Controller in a small company environment 
• Prior accounting leadership experience within construction 
• Strong understanding of job costing and WIP 
• Experience with software conversions or ERP implementations 
• Hands-on mentality with strong initiative and work ethic
