Temp Senior Accountant + Immediate Need + Omaha

We are partnering with a client seeking a skilled Senior Accountant for a temporary assignment. What They're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines

Preferred Experience:

• Accounting experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, or other project-based industries
• Familiarity with job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and project accounting
• Experience supporting revenue recognition and financial reporting for projects

What You'll Be Doing

• Play a key role in monthly and year-end accounting close processes
• Prepare journal entries, review general ledger activity, and ensure accurate financial records
• Complete balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations
• Assist with financial statements, supporting schedules, and reporting
• Support project-related accounting, including job costs, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
• Work with internal teams to investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting
• Provide documentation and support for audits
• Assist with process improvements, special projects, and additional accounting needs
