We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial CFO to lead finance operations across North America for a fast-growing, private equity-backed client of ours in the long-term care services sector. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale the finance function from the ground up while playing a key role on the senior leadership team.
The organization is experiencing rapid expansion, with a clear goal to significantly grow revenue over the next several years through both organic growth and acquisitions across the U.S. and Canada.
The Opportunity:
This role will begin as a highly lean finance function, with the CFO working alongside one key operations partner. Over time, this leader will be responsible for building and leading a team of 4–5 finance professionals within the first three years.
The CFO will play a critical role in establishing financial infrastructure, driving strategic decision-making, and supporting continued expansion in a complex, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all finance and accounting functions across North America
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes (advanced Excel required)
- Build and manage consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and P&Ls
- Oversee month-end close, chart of accounts, and accounting standardization
- Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence for acquisitions
- Partner closely with senior leadership to drive strategic growth initiatives
- Help design and implement scalable financial systems and processes
- Potentially oversee HR functions as the organization evolves
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team over time
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA required
- Background in audit, accounting, or controllership
- Experience with multi-entity consolidations
- Proven ability to clean up and professionalize financial operations
- Comfortable in high-growth, fast-changing environments
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
- Experience supporting M&A and due diligence processes preferred
