Estimator + Fabrication + Lincoln

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and material takeoffs for structural steel fabrication projects.
• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Analyze material quantities, labor costs, and other project expenses to develop accurate bids.
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare competitive bid proposals for bridge and other infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project management, operations, and leadership throughout the estimating process.
• Manage multiple estimates and project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably within structural steel, fabrication, commercial, industrial, or heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and structural steel plans.
• Familiarity with structural steel components such as I-beams, diaphragms, frames, and cross-frames preferred.
• Experience performing material takeoffs and developing detailed cost estimates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team.
• Experience estimating bridge construction or structural steel fabrication projects is highly desirable.
