Temporary Controller + Service Industry + Omaha

We’re partnering with our client, a well-established, member-driven organization that’s entering an exciting phase of growth and modernization. They’re looking for a Temporary or Temp-to-Hire Controller who thrives in evolving environments, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and wants a front-row seat to shaping a finance function from the ground up.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take ownership of the general ledger and lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Oversee A/P, A/R, payroll, and cash management functions
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
• Manage billing, collections, and member-related financial activity with a high level of accuracy and service
• Partner closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Support audit and tax processes
• Help transition legacy workflows into more efficient, scalable processes

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ~3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Comfortable navigating systems and working in Excel
• Someone who enjoys solving problems and improving processes
• Professional, communicative, and able to build trust across teams
