  • Overseeing the annual audit process and coordinating funder reviews
  • Identifying financial risks and strengthening internal controls and financial performance
  • Supporting financial oversight for fiscal sponsorships and affiliated foundation activities
  • Helping shape financial priorities that align with the organization’s mission and long‑term strategy

What They’re Looking For

The ideal candidate brings strong nonprofit or mission‑aligned financial leadership experience and thrives in a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment.

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
  • Experience with grant administration and lending or loan portfolio management
  • Proven ability to lead teams and build strong cross‑functional relationships
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial insights into organizational impact
  • Excellent communication skills and a high degree of integrity, transparency, and accountability

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

In addition to meaningful, mission‑focused work, this organization offers a highly competitive total rewards package and a culture that genuinely supports work‑life balance. Benefits include a comprehensive employer‑sponsored health, dental, and vision plan with the majority of premiums covered, employer contributions to a Health Savings Account, and a generous retirement match. Employees also enjoy an exceptional holiday and paid time off program, including extended holiday closures, summer Friday hours, and a workplace culture where leadership actively encourages sustainable work hours.

The organization is financially stable, recently completed a major financial software conversion, and is committed to providing the tools and flexibility leaders need to be successful—both professionally and personally.

If you’re a collaborative financial leader who values purpose, stability, and balance alongside strategic impact, this could be a rewarding next step.
