What You’ll Do
The CFO will oversee the organization’s full financial function, including accounting, finance, and loan operations, while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the board.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing accounting, finance, and operations teams through mentorship, structure, and performance guidance
- Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with funder and regulatory requirements
- Partnering with executive leadership on strategic planning and organizational growth
- Providing clear, insightful financial reporting to leadership and the Board of Directors
- Managing and monitoring the organization’s lending portfolio, including loan approvals, reviews, and risk evaluation
- Overseeing the annual audit process and coordinating funder reviews
- Identifying financial risks and strengthening internal controls and financial performance
- Supporting financial oversight for fiscal sponsorships and affiliated foundation activities
- Helping shape financial priorities that align with the organization’s mission and long‑term strategy

Qualifications include:
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
- Experience with grant administration and lending or loan portfolio management
- Proven ability to lead teams and build strong cross‑functional relationships
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial insights into organizational impact
- Excellent communication skills and a high degree of integrity, transparency, and accountability
