Our client is looking for a confident Controller who can own the accounting function, manage a small team, and provide trusted insight to the leadership group—all while enjoying flexibility, autonomy, and a supportive culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to guide business decisions.
• Develop and refine processes, policies, and internal controls to ensure compliance.
• Manage payroll and basic HR functions in a small-company environment.
• Supervise and mentor an Accounting Assistant, fostering accuracy and accountability.
• Support project-based accounting, including contract billing and progress reporting.

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats—able to balance accounting, HR, and operational support.
• Polished, professional communication skills with the confidence to work closely with ownership.
• Bonus points for experience in forecasting, HR, or QuickBooks Online.
