Director of Operations + Home Services + Omaha

Our client, an innovative Omaha-based startup is bringing a white-glove, technology-driven approach to homeownership and is seeking a Director of Operations to help build the business. What You'll Do 

As one of the key leaders in the organization, you'll be responsible for creating and scaling the operational foundation of the business. In the early stages, you'll be hands-on, working directly with homeowners, coordinating service providers, solving problems, and building processes. As the company grows, you'll transition into leading a larger team and expanding service operations. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and implement the operational framework for service delivery 
  • Build and manage a network of trusted contractors, tradespeople, and service providers 
  • Coordinate home maintenance, repair, and improvement projects for members 
  • Establish service standards that deliver an exceptional customer experience 
  • Create workflows, procedures, and performance metrics that support growth 
  • Partner with technology teams to improve automation and efficiency 
  • Recruit, develop, and lead future operations team members 
  • Serve as a key problem-solver for complex homeowner and vendor situations

Seeking someone who understands homes, construction, and service delivery, and who is excited by the challenge of building something new. 

 

Successful candidates will likely have: 

  • Strong knowledge of residential construction, maintenance, and repair 
  • Experience coordinating vendors, subcontractors, or service providers 
  • Customer-facing experience and strong relationship management skills 
  • The ability to create processes and drive operational excellence 
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to build and lead teams 
  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset
