Senior Staff Accountant + Healthcare + Omaha 

If you’re an accountant who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, owning your work, and being part of a fast-moving business, this could be a great next step. Our client is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant who can step in, contribute quickly, and become a trusted member of the accounting team. 

This is a great opportunity for someone with 5–7 years of experience who wants to continue building their technical accounting skills while working closely with leadership in a collaborative office environment. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

In this role, you’ll support core accounting operations and help ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and audit-ready. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts 
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation 
• Prepare and compile monthly client and operational reports 
• Record journal entries and accounts payable activity within QuickBooks 
• Post cash receipts and maintain accurate transaction records 
• Support year-end audit preparation and documentation 
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records 
• Assist with workforce updates and employee changes in ADP 
• Review job orders and extensions as part of operational reporting 
• Participate in special projects and process improvements as needed 

What We’re Looking For 

Must-Haves 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
• Approximately 5–7 years of accounting experience 
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting 
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities 
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within established processes
