MAKE AN IMPACT

 

As an Internal Senior Accountant for Lutz Tech, you will:

  • Process Accounts Payable Daily, including entering vendor invoices and matching to purchase orders, processing recurring/monthly invoices (~300), coding invoices to corporate credit card transactions, and scheduling ACH/check payments
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, recording and applying customer deposits/payments, preparing monthly AR statements, and reconciling PSA to QuickBooks daily
  • Execute Monthly Billing, setting up new agreements and managing onboarding/offboarding of projects, creating monthly down payment and progress billings for projects, preparing ancillary cost worksheets, and generating invoices for labor, items, and products received
  • Oversee Purchase Order Workflow, running received reports, printing vendor invoices and POs, and serving as backup for procurement processing
  • Perform Monthly Reconciliations, including credit cards, bank statements, petty cash, inventory, down payments, progress billings, and PSA invoices to QuickBooks invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Handle Taxes & Compliance, preparing, submitting and paying monthly sales tax returns, maintaining 1099 vendor records, and completing annual 1099 reporting
  • Support Year-End Close, providing documentation for external CPA/auditors and recommending/implementing process improvements within accounting workflows
  • Supervise, Train, & Mentor Team Members while modeling integrity, self-discipline, and attention to detail

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • 5+ Years of Experience in bookkeeping or accounting with hands-on AP, AR, billing, and reconciliations; familiarity with QuickBooks and a PSA/project system
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and strong Microsoft Excel/Office skills; ability to learn PSA or similar platforms
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with ability to research and resolve discrepancies efficiently
