Senior Accountant + Temp-to-Hire + Omaha 

If you’re an experienced accountant who can walk into an evolving department, get your arms around the numbers and bring some structure along the way, this could be a great opportunity. We’re partnering with our client, an established organization that needs an additional set of experienced hands on its accounting team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to make an immediate impact while the company evaluates its longer-term finance structure. 

What You’ll Do 

• Prepare and post journal entries 
• Complete account and balance sheet reconciliations 
• Assist with month-end close 
• Research discrepancies and help resolve accounting issues 
• Support day-to-day general ledger activity 
• Help strengthen accounting documentation and processes 
• Jump into additional accounting projects as priorities arise 

What They’re Looking For 

• Solid general ledger accounting experience 
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries and month-end close 
• Ability to work independently  
• Comfortable joining a department that is currently experiencing change 
• Process-minded and willing to document or improve procedures 
• Great Plains experience is a plus 
• Dependable, consistent and committed to being present and on time 

The Environment 

This is a fully in-office position within a relatively quiet, heads-down accounting environment. This a good fit for someone who is adaptable and steady.
